All memes and fuckery aside, these movies had the basis for telling a really good story. The main three aren't awful actors (RPats is clearly head and shoulders above if you look at his other work), and they had the budget to pretty much do whatever the fuck they wanted.
The constant change of directors/producers and the cash grabby churning out of them kinda ruined some otherwise interesting ideas
