I am studying Physics.

I frequently get triggered by films that handle mathematics or physics poorly, and it ruins a lot of stuff for me.

Are there any good films with accurate physics and maths within?
>>
What is it with physics students and getting worked up about films not getting written by physicists? Are you just trying to draw attention to how much more you know than the writer?

If a universe doesn'tfollow the laws of physics it's an immediate suspension of disbelief breaker.
If they at least had fantastic laws they'd stick to it would be okay, bit most of the time it's also inconsistent with the physics IN the universe

"Real scientists"

What does that mean? The only people who know about Mars benefit from the Martian being popular. If they were being honest, they'd tell you that sandstorms like the one the entire plot hangs from are impossible on mars, and that the hermes is woefully over designed.

I am so tired of the deification of scientists. We're just normal people with ulterior motives.

>>
>>68678773
That's the most retarded argument twist I've seen in a long time.

Films are fantastical and fictitious works most commonly designed for a simple-minded audience. Most of the time high-level physics, or however you'd refer to it, being portrayed accurately is not even considered as a priority. Getting upset that something you study isn't accurately portrayed in films is just as retarded as all the dipshits complaining about not having enough representation in Hollywood.

Not everything is going to be specifically designed to cater to you. Get the fuck over it.
>>
>>68678901

Your post is indecipherable. Try again.

You either think the things shown in sci-fi are possible, or you think fiction negates the word science in science fiction. I can't tell.

Ah. People who actually understand physics and space are too small a group to have anything other than books?
