what does /tv/ think of Nicolas Cage?
Bad actor who did some excellent movies.
Including Bringing Out the Dead, that is my favorite Scorsese.
great actor who does excellent movies
>>68228159
unstoppable madman just like Mel Gibson and Eric Roberts
>>68228302
>>68228595

All of these opinions are correct.
His acting style works marvelously in some movies (Wild at Heart, Adaptation), and is hilariously bad in others (I don't think I need to name any)
nothing wrong with his early work although i don't particularly like him
everyone is too harsh on him bc they haven't done their homework and they just wanna make fun of whoever
the real question is: what does Nic Cage think of /tv/?
Good actor who starred in the second best action movie Face/Off. (Cobra is the best ofc).
I watched Vampire's Kiss last weekend. The same script could have actually been a series film but the way it is it's another zany Cage flick.
Anyone watch The Trust (2016)?
What a weird movie
>>68228159
he's unironically my favorite actor
reminder Cage had an Oscar 20 years before Leo did
IM GOING TO STEAL THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
>>68228159
God. I'm not even sure. Adaptation, Raising Arizona and Vampire's Kiss are some of my favourite movies ever. On the other side of the coin, there's the two Ghost Rider movies and City of Angels, which is probably one of the most unbearable movies I've ever seen. It's not even enjoyable in a bad Cage way it just sucks.
For the most part I'd say I love him though, he brings something to all of his roles that's, at least to me, almost always enjoyable, even if the movie is a pile of shit.
One of the most based actors ever. I get pissed that he only does shit movies now. Bad Luitenant was a terrible movie but had some really epic Cage in it.
>>68228159
I like Nic, he was good in The Trust, which is a breath of fresh air away from all the capeshit and pew pew shit we are being bombarded with.
>>68229134
Literally bizarre. Cagekino for sure though.
Cage is based because he blew like $150m on stupid shit.
hard worker than doesn't turn any job down
it seems to be strictly business for him
>>68229655
He bought a T Rex skull and goddamn giant exotic lizards! Not even close to stupid shit.
>>68228159
hesbald
>>68228159
he makes even the most shitty watchable
>>68228302
more like great actor who did some terrible movies
>>68228159
i used to think he was a douche but as I got older i realised that he's actually fucking awesome
just got wiser i guess 2bh
Part of the Marvel family (Ghost Rider)
DCucks BTFO

Marvel wins again
>>68228159
roger ebert said something about him that always resonated with me. he said that no matter what dumbshit summer blockbuster Cage was in, he would always give 100%. He would always completely throw himself into his performance and never "wink" at the audience. He's just so incredibly sincere and that's something I can appreciate.
>>68233883
>NO THE BEEES
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>68233883
this. Cage is based
Leaving Las Vegas... Probably my favorite behind FaceOff( I know I know). I think he is actually trying to play out Leaving Las Vegas IRL
>>68233883
so? he took too many stupid roles and ruined his career. nobody can take him seriously anymore
I loved him in Kick Ass
>>68228159
He's a meme, but a good meme
>>68228159
Conair is one of the greatest flicks of all time.
Lord of War is alright too.
>>68229412
>Bad Luitenant was a terrible movie but had some really epic Cage in it.
HIS SOUL'S STILL DANCING!
>>68229412
>Bad Luitenant was a terrible movie
>>68229047
Let me get this straight...... Face.........OFF?!?!
>>68229134
I found it pretty interesting but the ending could of been better, nice to see cage with a moustache tho
>>68228159
My absolute favorite actor. He does some absolutely genius fucking comedy and is great in every single movie he's in. If he gets cast in a bad movie, he can make that shit fucking watchable. If he's cast in a great movie, he's the spice that makes it taste all the more better.
Bad Lieutenant was a masterpiece and if you disagree you're a huge faggot.
>>68228159
He has a qt asian wife
>>68229412
i sat through that movie twice and thought it wasn't good. i don't understand the love for it.
Is it wrong that Lord of War is one of my favorite movies ever?
>>68237562
and his teeth are perfect!
One of our time's greatermemeactors. Give him a mediocre script and he makes it bearable. Plus he's just too easy to meme
>all these plebs calling Cage a bad actor.
Really.. no one?
Both Ghost Rider and Adaptation are great kino
>>68241108
>Schumacher
He's scraping at the door!
SCRA-PING AT THE-DOO-AAHR!
The problem with Cage is that he accepts any movie scripts, even if it's complete shit.
Some movies he does are amazing, like Lord of War.
But others are complete crap, like Knowing.
>>68241182
Can someone explain to me why Lord of War is so good besides his performance and some admittedly good scenes.
Why does he wear the snake skin jacket?
>>68228159
poo in me

Weather Man is GOAT.
He's a Coppola
>>68228159
Some of his movies are okay some of his movies are bad.
I don't instantly find his bad movies funny because he overacts. My friends constantly watch terrible movies just because he's in them and they swear that they are hilarious. But its usually just him overacting in a boring movie. I don't get it.
