They are all good but if you're type of guy that eats his vegetables first like me I'd watch them in the following order
Boardwalk
Justified
The Shield

You can't go wrong with any of those. BE is probably the weakest of the three, but only because Justified, and especially The Shield, are really tough acts to beat.
Venture into any of them with the confidence that you will enjoy yourself.
I personally think Justified is slightly better than The Shield because Justified has the best dialogue on television outside of maybe Mad Men since Deadwood ended. But all three are fantastic, absolute must-watch shows in my estimation

The shield and Justified both end horribly. You watch because you fell in love with the characters, but its like watching your favourite athelete that is not named jagr play into their 40s and absolutely suck and you keep wondering why they wont retire with some dignity and then they go to some eurodisney league and fail there and end up in a minor league or bounce around to 8 different teams on pro try out contracts and you want to keep loving them and watch them because you had so many good years together but it hurts so much.
so watch like 3 seasons of justifed and put it to bed. then watch couple of shield and do the same. boardwalk sucks.

The fourth and 5th seasons could bomb, and the first 3 would still be some of the best series on television.

I would say The Shield and Justified are about the same. Good 7 out of 10 series that were good but never reached greatness.
Boardwalk is the weakest of the three, solid opening couple of seasons, after that goes steadily downhill.

All the money went to it instead of Walking Dead seson 2. Mad Men literally almost killed the most hardcore show on tv. The Director of season 2 even refused to do it for that budget so they fired him. Fuck Mad Men.

LOST
Only watched Justified and its pretty sick! Season 1 is awesome, season two sucked IMO cause the main villain that season, season 3 was bad ass. Quality show just thought the fat, female aunt lookin kingpin was weird.
