I wish it wasn't so rushed, the first season of the show covers the first two books and they really didn't need to do that. They left out a lot of great stuff. The biggest complaint people seem to have about the show is that Uhtred is kind of a whiny dick and that's true but they left out a lot of personal development that explains why he acts the way he does.
I can't wait until next season because this girl was actually pretty awesome.
