Premature Death edition
What are you working on?
Have anything you'd like to show us?
Just wanna bitch about your job/tell some on-set horror stories?
Got some edited screencaps of the short I'm doing, will post in a second.

Okay technically I only have the two but still.

Not yet but according to a book I read, the only way to ensure a spec pilot is read is to actually film it. So I'll have to organize that sooner or later

Godspeed, anon.

The book was published in 2010 but is the most modern I could find on tv pilot writing.
Would it really be necessary or are producers just in need of ideas? Because I'm more of a writer

Honestly breh I don't know all that much about the industry but unless you got it in deep with the Jews you're basically fucked so you might as well just do shit for fun.
That's what I'm doing anyway.

Yeah I figure that's the way to go. Studying up on it and having hands on experience. Who knows, one day we can make it
>What are you working on?
Currently nothing. I'm pondering whether I can write an interesting enough screenplay about 2 beat cops that get called in to investigate a case of domestic violence. They navigate the run down building and go through some borderline surreal episodes. When they finally get to the apartment in question, they discover something truly horrifying.
The underlining theme would be that of fragility of memory and objectivity vs subjectivity, as throughout the film the footage (with one cop as the protagonist) would be intersected by a voice-over reading of the official report the other cop filed after investigating the apartment.
I don't know if it's any good but I gotta get typing.

been working on a short for the last 6 months.
my autism is overloading and i keep adding scenes that aren't in the original script though. i feel like i should roll with it but i also feel my original vision will be compromised
How do you guys find other people interested in filmmaking?
I just need a camera operator/focus puller ;_;
>>68188568
Find friends that are cool.
Most of my crew are friends I've known for a while.
>>68188566
Just ask other people who are working on the short with you for opinion
>>68188568
Meetup.com, craigslist, or just getting regular friends to help out helps immensely.
