>He continued to say that "Doomsday isn't just the final act." In fact, the DC trinity -- Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman -- will actually face an even "larger threat." Ultimately, he claims viewers will be surprised by the "timeframe of how things fall into place."

So, who was the larger threat?

People complained that the trailer for BvS showed too much of the plot, so the studio came back saying that Doomsday's not even the largest threat they face in the movie.

What larger threat do they face in this movie?

I think the most interesting thing is that Snyder transformed the duel of the mythos into a battle of formalism and semiotics dueling in an existential battlefield, like gladiators roaring and fighting for their lives under a weighty storm of grim-dark highlighted by the movie's quasi-schizophrenic ongoing internal duel between the shape and significance, the being alive, and having a purpose, and the actually being at all. In the style we see streams of lyrical expressionist realism ranging from renaissance to far more detached modernism, more concerned with structure and simplification of complex ideas than the embelished ideals and metaphysical battles of past times. It's a movie that picks two characters, and works with them in the best way possible. It never escapes the mold of comic book movie either - the sometimes overstated nature of the cinema allows for the cheek in the tongue humor and absurd situations to run fluid. Snyder flawlessly builds a beautiful monster out of the remains of high and low brow art, devastatingly original and powerful. In the world of ugliness and hopelessness of BvS, the man of steel falls.

protip - when they go to comiccon or whatever other nerd shit they do that only virgins will read they lie through their fucking teeth, they're actors.

they know that the vast majority of the movie going audience won't see or hear what they say 6 months before the movie comes out. they do know however an army of fanboys will be viral marketers for them and do it for free
