I love when retards completely disregard the context of t his scene. This was posted in /co/ yesterday. And like others have said, Ozy being able to catch the bullet is a farcry from people bitching about Nite owl and Laurie kicking people across rooms, Veidt being all around superhuman and jumping higher than an NBA player, and rorschach jumping out of the window and doing a barrell roll and proceeding to beat down like a group of cops.
These are completely incompatible. Veidt capturing a bullet in the comic's climax is one of his defining moments. For the comic built up Dr M as the only truly superhuman character. It has some bitter irony to it when Veidt in the interview before this even says, that anyone can be like him with a bit of dedication and self application. Him catching the bullet and barely being injured by it shows how well and above everyone he clearly is, sans Dr M. For the rest of the comic, no one else does anything close to that. Rorschach got the shit beat out of him when he tried to be a hero against the cops, Nite Owl's heavy duty armor broke his arm, hell Hollis in the excerpts go on about the importance of picking your costume and balancing it between flexibility and protection. The comic seriously goes out of its way to show these are ordinary people dressing up as superheroes to fight crime.
People have every right to be indignant about snyder missing that point completely just so he can get some hyper stylized slow mo garbage all so retards won't get bored of his boring movie.
So yeah, there's no comparison at all between those two.

It's just very poorly thought out because Manhattan's attacks look like giant explosions, ie nukes going off. What appears to be a nuke going off and destroying a russian city would very likely make Russia knee jerk.

I agree with David Hayter that the film wouldn't have been allowed an R rating without Snyder directing.
However some of the biggest faults of it wouldn't have been there without him too.
There's so much dumb shit eye candy special effects in it that when it gets to the point Veight catches the bullet it's just normal. We've already seen this guy move in bullet time to avoid an assassin. Why couldn't he catch bullets? It's actually supposed to be shocking and instead it's meh.
Same goes for Rorschach. We see nite owl and what's her face snapping muggers heads back and stabbing them in the neck with knives.
So why is Rorschach's approach to crime so shocking?
Also in tge comic almost ANYONE could have been responsible for The Comedian's murder. In the movie we need a prolonged fight scene so we see it's a sturdy white male and could only possibly be one of like 3 of the characters.
Snyder got it an R rating but he's so into eye candy that he couldn't handle the subtleties and fucked it all up. Just like he did with MoS and BvS.

Manhattan as a character is already established, is potentally dangerous to humanity, doesn't have to be built up, and that premise already fits with the anti-superhero narrative of the story to begin with.
