I rewatched Silence of the Lambs after Hannibal and it made it look like Hopkins was chewing the scenery doing the "I'm so crazy" routine.
Which is amazing considering it used to be thought a subtle crazy performance.
But, third season went off the fucking rails and the art direction jerked off so much to what used to be little vignettes, it started being a high budget student film.
