Did the coroner rule it death by misadventure or did they charge you with homicide?
>>68031780
It's being done in Law abiding citizen.
It doesn't work because you can't build up a character enough to be liked, and then build up again for you to hate him in two hours.
It doesn't even work on real life. You like people, or you don't. You won't change it unless it's something personal.
>>68032554
Is death by misadventure a real term used in those circumstances?
If that's the case suicide is off the table
>>68032635
>Misadventure is not a scientifically recognized cause of death; there is always a more direct cause although it may be unknown in certain cases.
>>68032554
they clearly ruled it asBLACKED
>>68031780
>main character is based and likable, yet also endearingly flawed
>he/she becomes a villain, but you can still get behind them because you understand their motivations and why they chose the actions they did, even if they will lead to horrible consequences, while acknowledging that opposition to them is also justified
>>68032566
>It doesn't even work on real life. You like people, or you don't. You won't change it unless it's something personal.
That says more about you than reality. You value loyalty over integrity.
>>68032782
Walter White?
>>68031780
Sounds like WWF
>>68032830
That says more about the people surrounding you than yourself. You have values, but no fellowship.
>>68032141
>villain's gun jams too
>>68031780
>Arguments are settled by opposing leaders dueling each other in a fight match to the death, if not close to it.
>>68032833
more like Carnivale
>>68033141
>both leaders respected eachother and wanted to be friends
>>68031780
But Overlord is an amazing anime/manga
I just like Bad guys that have principles.
That they're not just some ultimate dickbag whose purpose is to be an unlikable cunt that everybody can root against. Maybe they're ruthless & unforgiving, but they have certain values that are evident in their actions.
Same with antagonists having reasonable motivations. Too many shows conflate "antagonist" with "villain". That because they oppose the protagonist that means they must be devious or a "bad guy", and this is an excuse for the villain to have no motivation EXCEPT to be as EVIL as possible. I like shows where its morally ambiguous. Where the protagonist isn't always on the moral highground.
>>68033078
This always results in a fist fight.
>>68033330
>they both just walk away after laughing at the situation
>>68033290
That's what I was getting at before.
>>68033290
>>68033290
>I like shows where its morally ambiguous. Where the protagonist isn't always on the moral highground.
This is how I know you are a newfag in life. EVERY movie is like that bro.
The only exeptions are fantasy movies like LotR when the good guys are undeniable plain and simple good guys figthing undeniable darkness bad guys.

Mixtape?
...Fire?
...Platinum?
>character suffers major injury
>it cripples him/gives him a scar that lasts
>character doesn't tell unnecessary lies to his friends or partner
>instead he comes clean right off and they try to figure out how to deal with the situation together
I've been watching a lot of drama shows lately and the constant unnecessary lying and forced drama just makes me crazy. And don't mean people should never lie or anything, but it'd be interesting to see things play out more straightforward for once.
>>68034047
That's why I love White Collar
>>68031780
>protagonist is thrown into a new fantastical world
>but is actually traumatized by it and just wants to go home and at times acts selfishly in their want to go back
>guys and girls can be just buddies
>flirt, be raunchy, talk ''guy stuff''
>have fun without constant sexual tension
>they don't care about genders, they just want to be friends and do stuff together, whatever feels right
>>68034876
>and do stuff together, whatever feels right
>>68033553
>EVERY movie is like that bro.
No. Most Hollywood movies clearly give the protag the +4 high ground bonus and have, at best, minor levels of ambiguity. Kingsman is one of the few popcorn flicks that really goes beyond this.
>>68034047
This is unironicaly why I love anime so much.
>>68032833
>likeable
no
>>68033330
>Badguy or good guy can shoot the other
>Puts it down for a fist fight
Or
>Hero/villain is about to leave with others
>Sees enemy coming
>They stay behind to fight them because pride
Love it.
>>68033553
Yeah, but even though the character does something questionable, the writers work their balls off to justify everything so there's no chance in hell the audience would even slightly dislike the character.
>>68034416
ahhhh yes keep em comin big boy
>>68031780
Agents of Shield
>>68033290
This is one of the reasons I like the Saw franchise. They humanize Jigsaw in the latter movies and give him a reason to be who he is
>>68031780
That never really works on me, I just continue rooting for them
eg. Breaking Bad, Hamlet
