I felt good and releived and then it just gets better and better but then, at some point, I gotta admit that I was stuck, I was addicted to it. Like, I would watch the show and masturbate. Going from one setpiece or plot twist to another sure is exciting and entertaining but does not necessarily constitute good television.
Literally every GoT season feels like most of the episodes are setting up for le epic twist and cliffhanger of the last 2 episodes.
Compare this to other shows where things literally come out of left field and genuinely shock you.
