Robert Foster is now confirmed to be replacing Michael Ontkean as Harry S. Truman. Not sure how I feel about this... I know David has recast before, like Donna and Pierre Tremond, but those weren't really major characters to the fans (even though Donna was a main character...)

Forster is a good choice even if it isn't ideal.
Hell, what can you expect with a show made almost 20 years later? I'm just happy we're getting something. More David Lynch just in general is good.

I'm still curious why Michael Ontkean dropped out. I mean, he seems excited for, talking about how he was looking for his original jacket, then ended up getting a replica because he couldn't find it. Then he just mysteriously dropped out. I don't guess David tried to low ball him on payment...

I'm fine with Robert Foster on the show, he's a way better actor than Michael Ontkean.
I'm just not sure why he couldn't simply be the new sheriff. I mean 25 years have passed since the events of season 2, and Harry was not left off in any kind of way where his character needs to come back.
Just make it a new character, that'll be way less jarring than having a new face play an old character. Harry wasn't even a good character, it was all in the dynamic between him and Cooper, the character couldn't stand on his own at all.
