No, there was every reason. It was a weapon that could kill her boyfriend. She didn't want to leave it around, and didn't yet know that Doomsday existed.

But that wasn't the reason. I'm impressed how people don't get this. The name caught his attention, as it was something he obsessed about all of his life. What made him not kill Superman was because it humanized him. He was no longer an alien threat, but a man with a mother who was in danger. Something Bruce swore to never let happen again. I agree, Affleck sold it, too.

I will agree with this. He only said a few things before losing his cool, although to be fair that was after Bats sprung two traps on him and still refused to listen.

I think it made the scene more powerful. Batman doesn't like to talk, anyway. This movie doesn't tell a lot of things, but it always shows them. It just expects the audience to care more than most of them were willing to.

I don't think so. Take into account he was very nervous and probably distracted from playing bomb squad, and let's face it he's only been doing this for 18 months, still. He probably hasn't trained himself to keep thinking ahead so much. Also, whenever he looked over, he was doing so to meet the eyes of the man who held him responsible for his injury, not to stare at his wheelchair. Clark is still psychologically human.

Agreed. Although on my second viewing I didn't mind so much. They do kill the pacing as you're gearing up for fight night, though.

I thought he looked like he was crying. I think it sold the moment well. He was just sad and angry and overwhelmed that someone would do that, and disappointed in himself for not being able to stop it. In actuality I think he would have just stood there in shock instead of even drawing a tear.

Kind of agree. The editing for this movie (while not "shit" like many claim) was not conventional. Scenes don't always flow into each other, but they are always relevant to the whole.

Decent criticisms overall, anon. If anything, this movie will set-up the next reboot to be incredibly well-received by contrastJust like the prequels did for TFA, which is annoying, especially if it doesn't deserve itkind of like TFA
