Movie would have been better if they just turned it into a comedy instead of science fiction.

My brother and I got a copy of Alien on VHS when we were young and snuck down to watch it when our parents had gone to sleep. I fell asleep about ten minutes after the chestburster scene and woke up at the very end right as she's going to sleep and sees the alien taking a nap. My brother was about 7 and scared shitless, and I was too tired to rewind and watch it.
