Baby Boy is a genuinely moving and involving film, its in my top 10.
Not sure if another film captures the sense of aimlessness and impotence of being a young man as well as this does.
Hood life 1, 2, and 3

Yeah the acting was honestly really good. Not-Cuba gooding, Ving, and Snoop were the best part.
>>67928760
Shame people on this board are gonna shit on it for being about black people.
Shame Singleton has directed so much shit along with the good stuff he's produced.
>>67928798
People here don't even watch movies anymore. Plus I'm pretty sure an all white cast would've been met with the same baseless criticism, without the slurs.

All I remember from this movie was Snoop was raping some chick and said something like "Open up bitch, I'm horny" and I found it hilarious as a kid
>>67929902
This was seriously one of the absolute worst movies I've ever seen. Phoned-in acting, lazy writing, shitty effects - it was like everyone in the movie was doing it because they owed someone a favor and they just wanted to get it over with.

Yes

Considering what a laid-back guy he is these days seeing him as a genuine, sociopathic abuser is pretty jarring, so it makes it work even better.

Somewhere out there in the vast wilderness of suburbanite America a mousy and mild fellow hurries along to name a quick list of Nigger Black People and Nigger Black People Memes to post on the Persian snail-racing forum posthaste.

>it was like everyone in the movie was doing it because they owed someone a favor and they just wanted to get it over with.
It's not like the topic and theme of this film isn't emotionally draining to the point of exhaustion if anyone wants to tackle it seriously.
Not black, but when I was an early teen I lived in a mainly black neighborhood. For some reason this was the only movie everyone watched.

I thought I was the only one who liked this movie
I also find Malibu's most wanted to be underrated
>>67932639
I remember way back in the day that old lady was a guest on Conan and she kept talking about smoking weed and saying "I SHO DO LOVE THAT REEFER HONEY!" and shit. It was funny as hell seeing she's really like that irl.
>>67932642
I can't watch movies with wiggers in them, it's too painful because I was one for about a year in junior high. I can't wait until time machines are invented so I can go back in time and make my mom get an abortion.

Class Act is underrated as fuck. That shit was on HBO all the time when I was kid.
>You will never be a kid sitting home alone watching TV and stuff like Class Act and Troll 2 come on that are actually good or so bad it's good and then Real Sex comes on and you jerk your kidboner and cum with the force of a billion suns
I can't even get a boner unless the woman is actually touching me or the porn has tranny midgets shitting on eachother anymore. Where did the time go?
>>67930814
I just can't stand these guys, some years from now this will be the new Pest kino meme on /tv/.
O-Dog did nothing wrong
>>67934650
They used to make actually decent stuff. See >>67932639, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, the first two Scary Movies. I think they went to shit after Keenan stopped being involved in the movies.
>>67934655
Was just about to post this. Great movie that doesn't get a lot of love.
New Jack City is another hood classic.
>>67934910
AM I MY BROTHER'S KEEPER?!
New Jack City, Sugar Hill, and Belly (for the soundtrack mostly but it's shot really well too) are the best movies about black people to come out in the past 30 years. I'm not even gonna get into blaxsploitation and shit like Putney Swope that came before that, because that's really the pinnacle of black cinema and there is way too much to name.
