Is it weird that I had literally never heard of The BFG until they started advertising this movie?
I looked it up recently and it doesn't seem like it only existed outside of my country. I just somehow managed to not be exposed to it in any way. It's not even like I had heard of the book or the cartoon and just never read or saw it. It's like as far as I knew it didn't even exist until Disney announced the movie.
I know nobody gives a shit, but I just find this baffling. I've heard of literally everything that gets remakes, reboots, etc. these days. Even if it's not something I ever watched or read as a kid, I still remember it existing. I literally don't even remember the BFG existing.
