I think one of two things is happening with Julia.

I think he's depressed cause not only did he fall hard for someone that wasn't who he thought, but who was really someone who couldn't give less of a fuck about him, used him and who actually wanted to kill Eliot's friends and himself, and then Eliot had to kill the innocent guy who was being mind fucked.
So he almost got his friends killed, and had to kill again, something he'd only done like once before.
