I watched SCTV in syndication when I was young and I never liked Martin Short or his characters, especially Jackie Rogers, Jr. And he did his crazy Hollywood weirdo characters A LOT during the final season when most of the cast had left. He's really only funny on his talk show appearances, IMO.
