This guy gets it. Its the perfect ending for the movie. It gets all the way to the big reveal and he pops the bubble. One of the funniest endings in the history of cinema.

Well Jordorowsky was big into the occult at the time, the movie is basically the Fool's journey in the Tarot as shown through visual metaphor.
It's worthwhile to listen to the commentary track, and the special features that come with the blu ray.
