Daryl. If you take the POV scenes into account, you see that there is no one and nothing obstructing the view of the bullet hole riddled door. When Daryl, Rosita, Michonne, and Glenn are removed from the van, Daryl is the first to be taken out. This means he is the POV we are watching. Also, the gunshot wound has taken a tole on him, so we see things visually distorted and hear muffled talking and breathing.
Now why we don't know who got the honor of being "Lucille'd", we can assume that since POV has never been a thing in the series, we are watching a skull bashing from Daryl's perspective.
Also, I would like to think that if anyone would take a blunt object to the head "like a champ", it would be Daryl.

When they open the door you can CLEARLY see the top of Daryl's head. So...there goes your theory.

Seemed to me like a strong implication that it was Carl. Also Negan on 2 separate occasions during his speech went down face to face with carl. I admit it is vague and not definitive.

Anyone else like the episode but just extremely disappointed? Was so enthralled with the whole monologue and the suspense and atmosphere was TWD at its best. All that build-up over a pretty dragged out season and then boom~ nothing. Doing that would have worked better for 1 of their mid-season finales but to end the season like that is just ridiculous. I cant find a good reason for them to just ruin a great moment like that
