If they release the Ultimate cut too it would be insane because they would potentially double the sales they got now I would be first in line for the Ultimate cut and first to love the film even more! so a day is 24hours, a long version movie 3H. Your theatre is usually open by noon until midnight, that's 12 hours. Likely you can only show such a movie 3 times per day, not 4, not 5, but just 3 times. So lesser showings, smaller audience, smaller box office, smaller business.

Snyder wanted the extended cut to be the theatrical release, but the studio forced 30 mins off including the North Africa scene at the beginning which is plot heavy but made it R rated. Snyder only allowed cuts if the extended cut was released on the home box office.
There is a rumor that he is getting a DCP ready for theaters and WB might do it with the drop off being so bad
