Its load is already blown with the worldwide opening. Everyone who is stubborn enough has already seen it, 200m more is a pipedream. Word of mouth is awful.

So yes, a movie with BATMAN and SUPERMAN is going to make less money than the worst movie in the Iron Man trilogy, a character who was a literally who until less than a decade ago.

Audience score means literally nothing. When a stinker like this comes out and it's producing by the favorite corporation of a bunch of shitheads, they'll all flood in phony 10s, and fan boys of corporation #2 will do the opposite.

To post a review you should have to link to a verified Facebook tbqh, so that way everyone can laugh at you when you rate garbage like BvS a 10 and call it kinography.

>Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ended its first week at the domestic box office with a $7.74 million Thursday gross. That puts the film’s seven-day domestic total at $209.07m, or just past the entire domestic total of Chris Nolan’s Batman Begins ($206.8m back in 2005 and in 2D). And before you scream “Inflation!,” you should know that Dawn of Justice should be awfully close to the inflation-adjusted $279m cume of said first Batman movie by the end of its second weekend.

>aid Thursday gross is one of the bigger Thursday grosses in March, behind the $10.5m (opening day) gross of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the $8.1m first Thursday of The Hunger Games, and the $7.6m second Thursday of The Passion of the Christ. In terms of comic book/superhero films, the Zack Snyder sequel sits ahead of Batman Begins ($206.8m) and Thor: The Dark World ($206.3m) and behind Zack Snyder’s own 3oo ($210m) if only until today.

>The Ben Affleck/Henry Cavill/Gal Gadot entry dropped a solid 4% from Wednesday-to-Thursday, which isn’t too bad in terms of relevant comparisons. In terms of relevant March/April debuts, Furious 7 dropped 10% from Wednesday to Thursday with a $8.1 million seventh day

>So if those grim Tuesday and Wednesday drops gave me concern, this small Thursday drop should offer some slight optimistic heading into the second weekend. Credit where credit is due and all.

Get rekt you dumb MCU college kids.

*tips fedora while stepping out of the shadows*

The pitiful peons at Marvel have underestimated the power of DC one time too many. The "Marvel Cinematic Universe". Huh. A shoddily shot, messily put together series of soulless and artless wastes of celluloid designed to appeal to the base intellects of moronic manchildren still dreaming of becoming powerful as they waste their lives away masturbating to images of Black Widow.

Only a fool and a weakling of mind could gain satisfaction from watching poorly animated CGI trade weightless and impactless punches while trading quips a severely mentally retarded Thai ladyboy would find beneath him/her.

DC understand cinéma. They understand kino. DC know how to build shade and light in a performance, how to engage the minds of true enlightened souls. DC have redefined not just superhero films, but the entire film industry itself.

Mentally challenged Marvel fanboys can only begin to grasp the tectonic shift in filmmaking that has been unleashed. Critics and reviewers fail to recognize a movie far ahead of its time once again, crying on their blogs about lack of snark and quipping - failing to recognize a literal masterpiece as it unfolds before them.

The public have responded. The entire filmmaking industry has been shaken to its core. DC have changed the game utterly - a new landscape is carved, a beauty is born, a God walks among men.

*teleports away*

Marvel: by the numbers, focus grouped assembly line products made to ellicit "meh it was good enough I guess" (remember, a review like this would get a positive score in the rottentomatoe system) from as many people as possible

DC: unashamed for what it is, boldly rejecting "industry standards", not afraid to go against the flow, the fulfilled vision of an auteur

Blade Runner got shit on because of the narration and tacked on happy ending. If the director's cut had been released in 1982 it probably would've gotten critical acclaim. 2001: A Space Odyssey received extremely polarizing reviews with half of the critics calling it a brilliant masterpiece and the other half calling it a pretentious pile of shit. I'm no DCuck, I think BvS is a pile of shit and I'm glad that it's getting panned. However, I'm not a MCUck either. It's absurd that a critic praised Whedon's visuals.

I can't wait to see her try and carry a whole film. It's gonna be hilarious.

Dark World was disjointed.
>>
>>67751475
>Audience scores.
>Reliable

Pick one. Maybe try using an argument? Except you can't because its a bad fucking movie.

Lex's plan is shit, Louis magically knows to use the spear despite having no information and having no reason to STILL be in Gotham during the fight. So much wrong with this movie Its hard to even begin.
>>
>>67754547
>They weren't disjointed and confusing to follow.
I really don't get why people are saying this, it's not really true, only an idiot couldn't follow the plot. Did it have holes? Absolutely, but it was really straightforward.

>Batman annoyed with Superman because he could be evil
>Lex Luthor is just a dick and doesn't like anyone
>He decides to push them to fight each other so that Superman is proven not to be a god
>MARTHA
>"Batman didn't do shit, so I'll just make a monster to fight Superman."
>Big fight

It's pretty straightforward.
>>
>>67754720
What was lex's motivation anyway?
>>
>>67752532
I don't think Tree of Life is "deep" but its really comfy. It has nice cinematography, a fantastic score, and a nice overall theme of growth and maturation. I don't think its a masterpiece at all, but it doesn't deserve scorn.
>>
>>67754420
>>67754620
I agree that Dark World was a mess but I still don't understand how anyone working on BvS decided that Wonder Woman checking her emails right before the big fight and all those dream sequences were a good idea.

And Lois shouldn't have been in the final act at all.
>>
>>67754604
Yeah, but won't Wonder Woman get better reviews because "Muh female empowerment"?

I mean hell, they're already calling Affleck problematic because he says something that triggered feminists into remembering "Not all men" when Wonder Woman said that boys don't share.

>posts 3 movies that tie 3 from marvel.
>they're not even canon.

Its not much of a competition m8.

But I think we can all agree that TDK is the best cape movie out there. I think Batman Begins is really good too, but not anywhere near TDK. TDKR is entertaining popcorn-tier, like avengers.
>>
>>67754788
But that wasn't right before the fight, the scene with her leaving the plane was. Checking emails seems pretty normal. (Though clicking through all the sequel bait stuff was unnecessary.)

> and all those dream sequences were a good idea.
Yeah, I don't think anyone thinks they are.
>>
>>67754772
Something along the lines of:
>His Dad is a dick and beats him and he's annoyed that God doesn't save him
>Therefore the "God isn't all good and if he is he can't be all powerful" and "Power can't be innocent" lines and motivation come from
He believe Superman is seen as a godlike figure and therefore can't be all good.

Essentially Batman's motivation it's just hidden away behind Lex being the Riddler.

And I've got no idea why he decided to make Doomsday before Batman even fought Superman. It seems like that a monster would be a plan B after Plan A doesn't work out.
>>
>>67754620
Admittingly TDW is probably the closest in the MCU to BvS garbage tier. That said it's still leagues above in the "How to make a film" category.
>>
>>67754725
> random batman vision in a dream
> random superman dream
> forced justice League scenes

There us more but I'm pretty shitfaced, tbqh pham.

The way the scenes were sequenced was weird as fuck.

Like I remember one scene where Morpheus asks where Clark is. The camera focuses on his empty chair at one point, I believe. So I kinda expected the next scene to be about Superman.

Instead it's the scene where Amy Adams give the national security guy the bullet and tells him to throw it away if he really thinks Superman is a murderer. And there are plenty of other scenes that just pop up, similar to that.

I get the feeling something else was supposed to be between those scenes.
>>
>>67755076
What's ironic is that I enjoy Marvel more for being grounded in reality but think MoS and TDK are great superhero movies that are up there with Hellboy and Winter Soldier.

Fanboyism is retarded. Only kids and man children white knight for this shit.

I know DC doesn't like end credits scenes, maybe it would have been better if Bruce clicked through the sequel bait once the file was done decoding, and then found Wonder Woman's last, and sent it to her. It would have flowed better.

Probably. We don't know what is and isn't in the Directors Cut. It's possible some things might be improved in some areas with the scenes restored. Like for example, now knowing why Lex went crazy in jail thanks to the uploaded deleted scene.
>>
>>67755094
Where's the MoS and BvS ratings, pham?
Also, none of this is part of DC's cinematic universe except maybe Arrow.
>>
>>67755438
Nope, not even Arrow. Arrow is the same universe as Flash, and Flash has already been confirmed to be separate from the movies.
>>
>>67755354
Yeah, that scene was neat. It was a bad move to cut it from the theatrical release. Maybe they thought it was too weird for the general audience? I have no idea why you would cut that.
>>
>>67755094
People actually rated that dark knight returns animated movie that high? That shit was like a 6/10 at best.

I fucking LOVE this pic. Mainly because of how fucking cherry picked it is.
>TDK is overrated as fuck. It's good, not the second coming everyone praises it as. Also it's barely a Batman movie. And he's by far the worst character in it.
>An animated movie reviewed by FIVE people. This is basically the equivalent of saying something is goo because you and all you're friends like it
>A generic action adventure vidya with a Batman skin. Seriously what is it about Batman that's makes all of his adaptations so fundamentally boring? He's so fucking white bread. Calling this a Batman game is a fucking embarrassment
>I guess I'm supposed to be impressed by the IMDb user score?
>And finally, perhaps my favorite, ARROW. Fucking Arrow. Not just Arrow but literally the worst season. Nobody likes this show anymore. Even the "fans" fucking hate it
tbqhwyf I hope you're posting this garbage pic ironically.

I know right? I mean I loved the film, but fucking really, they didn't cut one of the dream sequences, but cut this? The one with the giant bat attacking Bruce easily could have gone so that this remained in the film.

Be straight with me famalam
You don't like season 4 do you?
Do you honestly like the Felicity show?
>>
>>67756161
No problem. And that's the first (and I think only) scene that's been confirmed for the director's cut. So seeing as that explained something, I'm hoping that maybe someone just did a shitty job cutting scenes for the film.

I mean, I believe in a recent interview, Synder did say that it wasn't just action that was cut, but several bits of dialogue, and I believe a scene where Clark goes to Gotham.

In 50 years I'll be glad to show BvS to my grandsons, meanwhile people will realize how stupid quip fests were and laugh at how dumb the masses were to gather in adoration over such petty and substanceless movies.
No one will care about box office success then.
