Wasn't born, but it happened quite often. Never forget Rus Byzantine war.

What historical character will they butcher next?
Rollo
>in reality: A charismatic warlord who despite losing most of his battles in Francia was still impressive enough to make them want to use him to protect French coast in exchange of a swamp
>in the show: Some vicious treacherous faggot who's so jealous of his brother (despite owing him everything) that he literally massacred all his men in a heartbeat (while real one settled Normandy with them)
Count Odo
>In reality: A young and charismatic Frankish lord who heroically defended Paris with 200 men against 30,000 vikings, thus leading him to be elected as the next King after Charles the fat died
>in the show: A disgusting fat old man with BDSM fetish who plot in the dark to overthrow his emperor
Æthelwulf
>In reality: A great king who was essential in stopping vikings from entirely taking over England
>In the show: A beta fool cucked by a monk and his own father

They'll probably have Bjorn be injured in combat.
>tfw the costumes in this are better than that Warcraft movie
The vikings never won a large-scale battle because they simply never developed the organization or tactics for it. On squad-scale and raiding battles they were very good.
People also tend for forget that the vikings were resource poor in comparison to the larger kingdoms of the time. And they relied almost entirely on the Franks for sword production because the steel they produced was notoriously poor. And this resource poverty explained the motivation behind the raiding behavior.
They're portrayed as unstoppable killing machines but they were more akin to sea hobos.
