A Dark Souls movie would ruin most of the atmosphere, though.
Unless the protagonist was mainly quiet for the bulk of the movie, and the story was conveyed through actions and metaphors, it would end up being akin to the Silent Hill film adaptation.

Yes.They get their deformities fixed through magical plastic surgery when they are young like 12-14 and then they end up freezing their age when they are around 20. Geralt literally says Yen looks like a 20 year old in one of the short stories and she gets described at another point as having the skin of a 16 year old girl. Casting an actress who is a 1:1 appearance would be weird and probably impossible same goes with Dijkstra. Imagine casting Daisy Ridley and then having her be a mom to a a 14-16 year old. It just doesn't translate over well to film. Character appearance would have to change as to be expected an an adaptation.
