Anybody else notice how strangely excellent the discussion's been on /film/ recently?
Everybody's discussing cinema as an artform. There's no threads on capeshit, celebrity nude pics, or television. People are sparking conversations about acclaimed directors and recent films that didn't get the attention they perhaps deserved, exciting movie scenes, and new screenplays unseen by the public.
It's not all serious though. There's also humorous commentary on cinematic cliches and differences in film culture between nations. Some lighthearted analysis that compares and contrasts the nature of video games and art, and the relation of famous pop albums to famous movies.
I think today might be the single best day to discuss movies on 4chan ever
