How can you have a camera follow flash running around and not have it look absolutely retarded though? I'm really trying to think about this, because you can either have things move in super slow motion and just have him move at normal speed, or you could follow him around at normal speed and he'd just be spazzing out of control because of how fast his fucking legs have to move for him to reach the speeds that he reaches. The former is fine but it can't convey long distance travel while the latter would probably look strange, particularly if you're trying to animate his face while his body is moving super fast and blurry.

The more I think about Smallville, the more I legitimately can't believe it even existed. I mean, truly looking back on it, its entire existence as a show was so surreal that it bordered on brilliant.
I mean it obviously predates the capeshit age, around this point superhero movies were just kinda standalone and were picking up a little due to modern special effects, so some great executives somewhere just asked "what if we make a Superman soap opera?"
And rewatching it, in comparison to shows like The Flash, Supergirl, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, it's actually kinda nice just how innocent and un-cynical I would say Smallville is. Its earlier seasons also predate social media too, which meant that outside influences weren't really affecting it too much.
