The tech, intelligence etc is all mostly on par with one another, so all things being equal wouldn't an army that is far superior physically completely crush the other? Imagine fighting a bear in armor wielding a hammer.

Humans have magic and a lot of mages. The only thing that can fight them are the warlocks on the orc's side and they are few in number. Not to mention the humans weren't alone but the movie will just focus on orcs vs humans.
