The show was good but a bit too ambitious for its efforts. John Ortiz and Peter Gallagher are way too good for something like Togetherness on paper but they did amazingly. It cost a pretty penny I'm sure.

the location shooting, the high-grade music, beautiful camera work, a certain "I'm trapped" level of tragedy that could still be milked. The episode where they go to Detroit is one of the best dramas I've seen from a comedy since Enlightened.
