I keep telling myself that if he indeed did manage to get out of the woods alive, word would of got out, and repercussions would of ensued.
Right?
>>67468179He got out alive, and the results is Tony getting whacked in the final episode.

Apparently, the writer of that episode had an idea that Tony and Chris, in the last season, would visit a Russian mob boss and find the Russian sweeping a floor, not recognizing Chris because of his brain injury. And it was supposed to be explained that a boy scout found him. Chase didn't want that to happen though.
TRY IT WITH THE RELISH!

Pine Barrens was based on a dream that Tim Van Patten had that Chris and Paulie get lost in the woods after trying to kill a guy. Was originally pitched for Season 2 but they didn't have room so they decided to do it in Season 3. The original plan was just to do it in the woods but then there were unexpected snowfall so they just rolled with it.
