How much will it make at the box office?
That's the real test of whether or not it's a flop

175mill opening weekend
Massive drop in second week once everyone realizes it sucks
Barely craws to 500 mill.
Is considered a disaster.
>>67391824
Something along these lines, although I imagine probably 200+ opening weekend. With maybe a 60% drop the second week? Worldwide maybe 850 mil tops? I don't think it will cross 1bn. It really is that bad. I see most movies more than once, and even I'm not going to see it again.
Probably 600-700 mil at least
There's absolutely no way for this movie to actually fail
900 million maybe.
Like Man of Steel, it'll be just good enough for WB to go ahead with their plans, but a slight dissapointment.
>>67391757
North of 700 million south of 1 billoin.
Well the movie cost 410 million.
>>67391958
>slight dissapointment
MoS barely made any money.
>>67392181
>700mil
>barely any

650 mil budget.
>>67392273
>650m budget
where are you getting this number from
I foresee an ASM2 situation in which the film makes like 700-800 million but since this is goddamn Batman and Superman they were expecting Avengers money and get disappointed.
I have trouble imagining BvS crossing 1 billion.
700-900m worldwide tops.
>>67392181
They almost covered the budget just off of product placement
>>67391873
>I see most movies more than once
>>67392273
It almost made back its budget from product placement alone
>>67391757
Less than WB would want
only jews care about the moniez

And the actors
And the investors
And the fans if they want a sequel, technically.
>>67392273
>650 mil budget.
AHAHAHA
Has there even been a movie with a budget that big? It was $225 million.
Did you read the box office number by mistake?
>>67392433
I work in a cinema... It's free... and also a pretty easy way to unwind after work.
>>67391873
You must be rolling funds
>>67392300
They need to make 1bn to profit.

Here mate, I'll let you off this time. >>67392721
>>67392229
Yes, it made so much money MoS 2 was cancelled in favor of BvS. Also it made 300 domestic which was barely above Superman Returns which was a financial disappointment and unlike MoS wasn't even panned...I mean was "divisive"
>>67392443
this. $1bn would be a failure. they were probably thinking it would do avengers numbers.
$800m max worldwide.
>>67392748
Do they? I thought the only reason why they wanted 1bn was so that every film released after rides off the momentum of BvS.
Just like how every Marvel movie did after Avengers. Even fucking Thor Dark World made 650m
>>67391757
If not 1b, very close. In the end, it doesn't matter. As long as it makes at least 800M (which it easily will), they'll move forward with more films. The only thing the studio will learn from is how bad the script/direction of the movie is. They'll take their shit reviews, regardless of profits, and fix current scripts/plans to make sure this sort of shitshow doesn't happen again. Avoid the "fool me once/twice" issue.
That's the reality we live in. Bad movies will still make big bank and will produce more sequels, because the headliner characters are natural cash cows.
>>67392699
Pirates: At World's End cost $300 million
$300 million opening worldwide, sharp drop after that
>>67391757
800 mill, I think people will start getting sick of capeshit after this comes out, or at least DC movies and if civil war isn't good then the whole genre is dead in the water, which is a long shot but a possibility.
>>67391757
Over a Billion.
I have yet to see it but the criticisms are:
Bleak (not important to most audiences unless they really think MOS never existed).
Bad Editing; this worries me but like I said I have not seen this yet (till sunday), this is also the make or break of the movie. I can recall some older guys at my internship that found MOS pacing too fast (esp the action scenes).
>>67392781
Regardless, it's like $12 a ticket at the most expensive theater in my city. It's not that much, especially if you're not buying a lot of food (if any at all)
Rolling in funds my ass.
>>67392699
Modern movie studios spend literally more on marketing campaign than the movie itself
>>67391757
At least 800 mill worldwide. However would be a miracle if it tops or reach 1bill. Despite the negative review it's still perceived as a major event for the subject alone.
>>67392385
I love this meme.
how long until Snyder asks people to see it twice?
