I get wanting a slow burn show but holy fuck its too slow, Jimmy has done jack shit the past few episodes and I really don't give one inkling of a shit about Kim's story
>>
>>67377721
Everyone point at this pleb. Point at this pleb I'm quoting and laugh

This kind of show obviously isn't for you right now, I suggest trying again when you're a bit older.

Not trolling.

No shit he's getting fed up with being a straight lawyer but theyre just dragging it the fuck out. They teased that bullshit being over at the end of season 1 and then backtracked
>>
>>67377242
Jesus fucking Christ, this show was too boring in the middle of its first fucking season.
>>
>hurr were is le tuco

>Mike doing something fucking awesome epic

>what is this boring law company stuff in a show about a lawyer?
>>
>>67377983
They promised Better Call Saul, what we got was the melodramatic boring bullshit before it. This is like the Star Wars prequels and all the trade federation garbage
>>
Its a slow burn...like an ember in a soft rain, barely clinging to life. Every now and then a sight extra degree of heat will show but a drop of rain will calm it right back down.
>>
>>67377721
Yeah, I enjoy the show but I admit Jimmy hasn't really been present for a lot of it lately.
Hopefully they work him back into the other narratives going on at the moment.
>>
>>67378081
I'm skeptical. The payoff from the season 1 slow burn was undone with some backpedaling in short order. Why should I even care if the same could be said for this season? What are you folks going to be saying after two full seasons of Jimmy lawyer tension and angst and narry a sign of Saul Goodman as we know him? What's the point of the slow burn if the payoff is meaningless?
>>
More like Better Filter Plebs

>>67377825
But then he broke it so his cup would fit. Symbolism.
I like the show, don't mind the slow pace and long scenes.
I can see how it would bother people if they weren't already interested, which is a problem, but not a problem for me.

The problem for me is that I was interested. But they lost me these last few episodes. The cartel shit is so lame, no tension because we know at worst these randoms get killed off, we all know Mike, Tuco, Hector and the Cousins all make it to Breaking Bad unharmed. And we know none of this lawyer shit pans out so it's all an exercise in futility at this point.
>>
>>67378056
>directors/writers have no freedom because I am entitled
Wew

Honestly so far I'm finding BCS way better than ever expected. I though it was going to be a money grab by pandering to BB, but this is a really strong standalone show. Of course different people like different things so nothing would make everyone happy
>>
This show wouldn't garner this type of criticism if it was on netflix or the like.

Fact is, Breaking Bad was just as slow but the majority of yall binged watched it
>>
>>67378056
They've been saying from the beginning that it would be a prequel.
>>
>>67377825
He's mad that his new life doesn't fit Kim in it

Last episode, he and Kim made it fit.

This really doesn't take effort to digest.
>>
>>67377242
I enjoy it, but I can see where you are coming from. It's definitely a slow burn. I find myself looking forward to Mikes scenes because criminals are still the most interesting characters.
>>
>>67377983
Yes, Mike will operate

Yes, Salamancas will be involved

How else did you expect Mike to have his reputation and work under Gus in Breaking Bad?

These critiques are stupid. You have no idea what you're talking about.
>>
It's legitimately one of the only good shows on TV right now and I see a new thread complaining about it every night. What gives?

Tried watching MR.ROBOT is just cringe after cringe. It's not enough to show him picking a lock, he has to describe, in great detail, how it's relevant to him being t3h l33t h4xx0r.

Tried watching The Man in the High Castle:
"Hey, kid, do you like living in the Greater Third Reich? It would still be called the USA if the Nazi's hadn't won the war."

"Why are you saying this? I live here, it's pretty obvious."

"Yeah kid, you're a kid, kid. You don't know how hard the war was. I fought in the war you know. The one that we lost. Now America is divided between the Nazis and Japan. You got that kid? Also, Hitler is still alive. He's getting old though. Is there anything else important I should describe to you?"

"Okay, man. Just leave me alone."

"Aw jeez, kid, you're such a kid, kid. Don't you know it's illegal to be such a kid, kid? It's illegal because the Axis won the war, and Nazi stormtroopers are everywhere. Oh, here they come now!"

"Gee what should I do?"

"Look kid, I only just met you, but here, drive my truck across country even though you showing up right before Nazi stromtroopers should arouse suspicion that I had before. I clearly presented this to you earlier despite it completely giving me away and thus fucking me had you actually been a spy which, given what has transpired immediately after you showed up, looks like it could be the case. It is just a coincidence, though, so I'll treat it like that because I'm secretly a psychic also we gotta keep this plot moving."

>>67377242
it'll be 5 seasons with a 2 part final season like BB

>season 1 jimmy tries to make up for his past as slick jimmy and become a professional/go straight

>season 2 jimmy realizes the straight like isn't for him and his professional career and relationships crumble except possibly for kim

>season 3 jimmy begins establishing himself as Sal goodman and starts winning cases in underhanded fashion, possibly recruits Huell and Billy red bush??

>season 4 some sort of tense drama arc. peoples lives are endangered, saul and those around him are in real trouble for the first time.

>season 5a saul manages to get out of the scrape he was in but kim dies/leaves him and devastated jimmy goes full blown cynical saul goodman as the events of BB begin

>5b Present day cinnabon Saul runs into someone(s) from his past, the fate of saul goodman is finally revealed
>>
>>67377721
They're attempting to build other characters in addition to all the cameos. We want some new characters fleshed out instead of watching all the off limits ones all the time.
>>
>>67378943
I was with you until season 3, here are my predictions.

>Season 3: Jimmy begins establishing himself as Saul Goodman, starts getting business from the cartel which is where your tense drama comes in.

>Season 4: The tense drama scares Saul Goodman away from law temporarily and he starts doing gay-porn.

>Season 5a: Someone from the cartel recognises his face and tries to blackmail him. Saul turns it around him, being all like 'how would your homies react if they found out you had a chode sucking fetish?'

>Season 5b: The guy from the cartel fucks Saul at gunpoint and they both enjoy it so much that he offers Saul his own practice, mostly representing his friends.

What I'm trying to say is it's one of the only shows that doesn't break suspension of disbelief every minute by spoon-feeding a retarded audience with forced, unrealistic, dialogue.
>>
>>67378917
I agree about High Castle. I can't believe that shit has such good ratings, I barely made it twenty minutes into the first episode

I like it. The only thing I don't like is having to wait a week for the next episode. Makes an already slow tv show seem even slower. I watched all of Breaking Bad after it was finished in like two months.
>>
>>67379209
Like, I clearly didn't even proof read it.

I think >>67379182 is a teenager who gets offended when his shows are called bad.

Writing as a hobby = mockworthy. Watching bad shows = you have a life.

My brother had heard about my insomnia lately and recommended this as a cure. I don't know what to buy him for his 10th wedding anniversary but because of his superb recommendation, it's going to have to be something really, really fucking brilliant.

Jimmy and Kim's storylines are pretty slow, but the Mike storyline is actually good. It's worth watching just to see that.

Nothing pleases you whiny undercover Tumblrites.
>>
>>67378550
Yep. Same with Mike's granddaughter. Zero actual tension because we know she lives.

Also, Saul is proving to be a character probably not worth basing a series on.
>>
I liked the first season a lot more. Every new episode so far just makes it seem like they want to stretch it out instead of exploring further on down the timeline.
>>
I hate Kim. I hate her so much. I hate her face, I hate the actress and I hate her stupid fucking voice. I just wish an entire episode was devoted her getting tortured slowly in a dark basement somewhere.

It's almost impossible for normal people to understand the moving and emotional artistic journey this show is taking us on.
Appreciating this story takes a level of intelligence the majority of people don't possess. It's really amazing because of how artistic and allegorical the show is...it goes over most people's heads. Only people with a brain understand the level of cinematic brilliance going on.
The people that come here to troll us only like action movies or stupid little shows like Friends or whatever. They lack the deep, deep kind of intelligence needed to fully grasp the literal moving artwork, framed with beautiful poetry each Monday.
This is the greatest piece of episodic cinema that's ever been on. I call it episodic cinema because this is many levels above simple television. We are part of a movement...history is being made that will be taught in colleges all around the world for decades to come.

>>
>>67382414

Id agree....I mean you seem like a tryhard torll, but still the show is amazing in a lot of ways for how it does old Hitchcock style suspense....... if the show wasnt a prequel.

You cant have tense moments when you know all those characters live to breaking bad. The entire mike story from the last episode was a big damn waste. You can't cheat your audience and act like something could happen when everyone knows nothing will happen. The resolution was a dud, and we all saw it coming. The show is teasing, teasing is boring.
>>
Anyone else like Nacho a lot and are kinda sad that he is almost certainly gonna die?
>>
I don't hate any of the characters.
I want to see where they're going.

The show just knows it doesn't have any payoff and is taking its sweetass time to get there.

The last episode went nowhere.
Nobody in the show went anywhere.
Saul has done nothing all season.
Kimmy's fence sitting was fine, but it's time to shit or get off the pot.
I love you Mike, but you had your few cool monologues and backstory, I'm not interested in your "high stakes" cartel shenanigans when I already know nobody interesting dies, that tension sailed away before you could even tease it.

Saul finished last season ready to start fucking shit up, and they got nervous and decided to milk it and make him back track.

Saul won't finally get to fucking over his brother until the finale of Season 3 now.
>>
>>67377721
I'm enjoying the show but this guys right. After a good, eventful first season they can sit back and stretch out the plot for a few seasons, just like BB
