Patrick Bateman of American Psycho is what Bruce Wayne would've turned out like if his parents didn't die.
This theory isn't just based on the fact that Christian Bale plays both if these characters, but that was something that sparked the thought.
Something that made me think this was the fact that Bateman is the son of the head of the company he works for, as if Thomas Wayne hadn't have died then Bruce wouldn't have inherited the company at a young age and probably would have ended up working in it for convenience, and Bruce Wayne wouldn't be very moral if he didn't have the guilt of his parents death because he thought it was his fault.
This theory was more of a fun idea that I wanted to share, because I think it's funny to think that these characters are different outcomes of the same boy, sorry that it was so terribly written.
