I am by no means a fanboy of either studio, I simply enjoy seeing my childhood heroes brought to life in cinema. That being said, the reaction to man of steel and now BvS seems to be completely irrational and does not fit in with reality at all. Thor 2 received a far better reception. So did Iron man 3. Thor 2 and Iron man 3 were complete garbage yet they're on 66% and 79% respectively. Man of Steel was AT THE VERY LEAST as good as Thor 2 and Iron Man 3, yet people treat it like it was a new level of bad unseen before in the superhero genre. It was actually a refreshing change to the Marvel formula, offering cinema that was quite artful and beautiful to look at. It had flaws but it was no where near as bad as people indicate.
Critics are either being paid to shit on DC films, or they are simply too used to the fast paced, marvel 'quip' style of movie now that any deviation from that causes them to fall asleep and lose interest. Those are the only two explanations I can think of, because MoS was certainly not as bad as they say and I refuse to believe BvS is 36% bad.

What got me really upset was hearing that Amazing Spiderman 3 was cancelled and that no Sinister Six movie will ever be made until after 2020.. not only this but it would not be the vision of Marc Webb when he delivered a really great gritty version of Green Goblin.
Instead what do we get? Spiderman being rebooted as a fucking fag teenager and joining the Avengers (boring as fuck) with the most rediculous costume!

To top things off: an independant director who I love all his realistic films, he has to retire due to people not buying or supporting him. No more sequels I will get to see of him (I won't name him due to critism).

I never thought in a million years Batman v Superman would get panned when EVERY TRAILER released for the film got praise. So why all of a sudden when the movie gets released it ends up as 30% on rotten tomatoes?

This. It was impressive visually but fell short on narrative.
The sound mixing is also really good. But it's basically a movie you want to watch on mute because the dialogue is terrible and the overall story isn't worth listening to.
the thing about Synder is that it's like he *wants* to make a good movie, but wants to ignore everything that made the source material great and wants to ignore the reason why people love these characters in the first place. i've read about how he's got this amazing timeline for all the movies in the DCEU, so he gives off this vibe that he is serious about it all. i don't think he gets it, though.

I'm convinced OP is joking. I can't imagine anyone having that reaction for real towards the film. But sometimes it does go so far that I have to stop and wonder if some of these people may actually be serious.
Personally I would say that I'm a bigger fan of DC than Marvel, because recently they have put out more comics that have interested me and I find their characters to be far more iconic and timeless. However, there's no doubt that Marvel has a much better grasp on how to make live action movies than DC.
