How does RLM stay afloat? Their Patreon is barely pulling in money, I mean they get a little bit but it's not the amount you'd expect given their production values. Their views aren't all that crazy either, and given how sparse their uploads are.. how can they afford to keep this up? There's nobody that can compete with their production at their budget or size. I mean, yeah, some faggot is gonna dismissively reply to me about "m-muh sets" but they certainly do a lot more than the majority of content creators.

I really hope they can keep their show up forever, but I don't understand how they afford it. I mean who has heard of a youtube channel with their own studio and multiple revolving sets that uploads less than 4 videos a month and has less than 500k subscribers?

not to mention the percentage of their fanbase that use adblock as well, I could easily see that being 30-40%

They're not funny anymore.
>>
They do it for free.
>>
How much money/profit do you think they made from Space Cop?

Cool, post anon. How long are you gonna keep up the mental gymnastics that RLM isn't relevant to the people of this board?

you know what the best thing is though? you dont have to actually be funny
>>
You know that their Youtube/movie shit isn't their only income, right? They do other private projects.
>>
I'm pretty sure they have a dayjob as well.
You really think they spend all of their time on making HITB and BOTW?
>>
>>67276485
>studio
they have a small factory hall on the outskirts of Milwaukee, the rent they pay will be very low
>production costs
they built all of the sets themselves, they only pay for the materials at a DIY store
>split 3-ways
Mike is the sole founder of RedLetterMedia Inc. We don't know if Jay or Rich have any partnership stakes in the company.

Who cares? Just enjoy their content.

Pretty sure they all have other jobs as well.

Anybody wanna order annual reports of Red Letter Media LLC filed with the State of Wisconsin to see how much revenue and profit they reported for the last five years?

https://www.wdfi.org/apps/CorpSearch/Details.aspx?entityID=R053590&hash=913855251&searchFunctionID=7f085c74-7064-416e-b432-517bd398b34e&type=Simple&q=Red+Letter+Media
>>
Jay is a high-end escort
>>
>>67276870

does it cost money? or can only Americans order a report?
>>
>>67276782
Jay and Rich are official employees. Rich doesn't do as much as Jay though and he's basically just comic relief and floor sweeperwhich he sucks at so I don't think he gets that much.
>>
they got paid off by movie studios like sony and disney. why do you think they praised The Force Awakens the way they did?
>>
>>67276903
>only Americans
Probably. They will only mail out hard copies (no PDF download), and the web site doesn't say anything about international delivery.

I think they charge $10 per document.

I turn adblock off for sites whose content I appreciate. Not doing so is a bit of a dick move.
>>
>>67275951
theyre consistant. Today theyre just the same as they were when they started.

i assume they all have normal jobs and this is a hobby that they even toss money into. I know they do wedding videos as a production company or something

sure, they did

Such as?
>>
They're making good money off of their videos. Not money to retire off of but enough money to live comfy currently.
>>
They do corporate videos too. They are a prodco, not just a Youtube channel.

They make $11k from Patreon + $5k from Youtube ads + whatever they make from the prodco.

That's a lot.
>>
>>67275932
Why does it matter so much to you? All I see behind your post is "waaaah guys are getting money for making youtube videos [and I'm not]"
>>
>>67277630
No, I want them to be more successful. I'm impressed at what they're able to do on such a budget but I don't know how long it will be sustainable for them.
>>
>>67275932
Disney gave them money for not criticizing TFA
>>
they run a vcr repairshop

god damn have you even watched any of their videos
>>
>>67277191
This. OP is a retard
>>
>$11k a month is hardly any money
>350k is hardly any subs

People have gone full time on youtube with way less subs. They also have a partnered twitch channel.
>>
i cannot stand rlm because they exceeded their coffee budget for february 2013
>>
>>67278588
I saw Mike drinking from a Starbucks cup once.

And, he acts like he's a man of the people.

I unsubbed immediately.

They used to do wedding videos and shit, the site is still up

Why are you acting like that if you're ignorant?

>>

>>
>>67277191
they haven't done corporate/wedding/for hire videos since 2011/2012

only jack does it cause it's his job, he doesn't work for rlm
>>
>>67275932
They get about 11k a month. That could easily pay for the rent for the warehouse they use. then they probably pay themselves (Mike, Jay, Rich).
As for production values, I don't see how that could cost anything more than $200 per episode. They are so use to filming their set up. 3 camera set up, turn on the lights and shoot. Plus all the props they use are like $2 shit they already owned.
>>
is rich stealing office supplies? how does this affect their bottom line? will we ever get a full accounting of their administrative costs?
>>

i can't be a fan of anyone with a history of financial irresponsibility
>>
>>67275932
They make 11 grand a month from patreon, I'd say that's pretty good
>>
>>67278869
this right here should be a testament to how well they are doing

plus they sell cheap shit from their sets on ebay for bank
