the fact that it was cancelled

AD was all right

Fuck, I love the detail in this show.
What are some other comedy series that don't use a 4 camera stand up and have a real plot/callbacks (versus the standard very episodic sitcom format)? I've already seen Scrubs and The Office.
>>67261626
AD was very good
>>67261913
Parks and Rec and Community. Arrested Development's writing really is god tier though.
>>67262131
Thanks.
I might be wrong, but I recall once hearing that with Park and Rec you shouldn't start at season 1? Is that correct or just as silly as it sounds?
>>67262316
The show definitely gets better in season 2 but I think season 1 is only like 8 episodes. You certainly won't be lost if you skip it though.
>>67262316
depends how precious your time is, it's not a full season anyway
>>67262370
>>67262358
I guess I'll just watch it. After watching, I found that season one of The Office US was somewhat disliked, but I enjoyed it anyway and it was so short I could deal with some of the iffy stuff.
>>67262131
Just to be clear: those two shows are far behind AD in terms of quality.
>>67262472
I agree. There just aren't that many single camera sitcoms in existence so those two plus The Office and Scrubs are the main ones. Modern Family is pretty funny but it's a fairly standard sitcom despite the mockumentary format.
>>67262472
Ah. Thanks anyway.
>>67261626
The concept of having a narrator interjecting was fucking brilliant.
>>67262131
Lol both of those shows blow ass
