I only watched Alien in the whole franchise. What are some other installments that are worth watching?

Aliens is fine if you're interested in a very 80's cheesy big dumb action movie but that's about it.
Alien 3 tries to recapture the feeling of the original but fails miserably.
Alien Resurrection is just nonsense.
The AvP movies are terrible brain dead Hot Topic-core
Prometheus is the best bet. It has a confounding idiotic Damon Lindelof script but the characters and performances are strong and the visuals and atmosphere are stellar.

Aliens is great, it brings something new to the table while keeping with what the first movie set up. After 30 years, it has a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Everything after Aliens is garbage and destroyed the franchise beyond saving.
