I wanted to like this scene, but it just feels like Wayne is shitting over Alfred. At least go and sit with him or something. I know Alfred wanted it that way but Jesus Christ he raised you and changed your sheets until you were middle aged.
They had a funeral for Bruce Wayne and even gave his building away to be a home for orphaned children.
Wouldn't a lot of people pout two and two together to realize that Batman was Bruce Wayne? How does Bruce Wayne walk around in broad daylight without anyone recognizing him?

I agree with what that other anon said a while back in that this shot was completely uneccesary. All they had to show was Alfred looking up into the distance, then smiling. Sadly Nolan treats his viewers like 12 year olds with adhd that don't remember anything(which some of them are, but still).
