She's accepted that it's the end of the world and she's nicer to Phil now. I think season 2 fixed a lot of flaws that season 1 had and it's a lot more enjoyable now. Season 1 is dogshit though, I would understand if you don't want to bother with the show, most people here gave up on it already.
