also Pandorum is pretty good. Story and some of the action are a little iffy but overall concept and world-realization, plus suspense and mystery are prime shit

I don't like alien that much, but I have only seen the shitty directors cut so Idk. Didn't do much for me. Never properly seen all of Aliens so can't comment about that

Pandorum is a really cool movie that I feel kind of flew under the radar, because I hadn't even heard of it until my brother pirated it a year after its release and we watched it together. And nobody ever seems to know of it.
Maybe not an absolute masterpiece, but it was captivating in its own right and is a movie I could watch multiple times without complaint.
