With regards to Paris that is completely different, they had automatic rifles and a wide open area.
On an plane with narrow aisles and the terrorists only had a box cutters. They easily could of been bashed had a few people cornered them in the aisle. It's literally impossible to be stabbed to death with a box cutter..
