yeah i think it has potential. not as good as Cube but its pretty good sci fi thriller.

I get it mixed up with The Abyss.

Seems like it would be easy, Sphere is the one with the sphere, the Abyss has more of an abyss, but no.

Pretty confusing.

I've seen it at least twice but I can't remember much from it. Other than the jelly fish.

okay, not great.
my first viewing was as a kid when it was on tv, second time not too long ago and it didnt keep me interested the whole way.

The pacing was kind of weird, but I expect that's a symptom of trying to be faithful to the book. Great atmosphere and slow build of tension though. And the music was excellent. A good example of a spooky movie that never resorts to monsters jumping out at you or any of that rubbish. Well aside from the water snakes or whatever, but all of it was manifested by the humans, they weren't like invading aliens or something
