.6x

For hilarity
>>
1.5 is optimal. Doesn't detract from the film too much and let's you knock it out in under an hour usually.
>>
.50 when it's a movie with subtitles. 1.25 for everything else.
>>
0.5x when watching an art house film, 1.0x when watching a movie, and 2.0x when watching an action flick.
>>
Does pausing for cigarette breaks, naps and other random shit count?

Max plebs

I turn off all the lights, mute the audio, turn off the colors, slow it down to 0.25x. Reading the lips you can truly hear there voice and understand there character. You let each frame burn into your mind, while this is happening I lightly touch myself, craddling my balls like the director would want. I then close my eyes, bite my lip ever so softly, imaging the rich dialouge enter my brain. Light stroking the shaft as each scene changes. Once it's over I sit in silence and let the cinéma I just saw wash over me.

Did this with Lawrence of Arabia. Best week of my life.
>>
Flicks: 2.0
Movies: 1.12 (Saves time with very little noticeable degradation in quality, any higher and you start noticing)
Films: 1.0
Cinema: 0.75
Kino: 0.5

I watch cinema and kino at 1.0 on a first viewing but for repeats I want as much time as possible to soak in every detail.

2x for anime and foreign films though
>>
1x for kino and films
1.5x for movies and flicks
>>

>week
According to jewgle Lawrence of Arabia is 3hrs 48m long, or 228 minutes. At .25 speed this would be 912 minutes which would come out to be 15.2hrs
Not even a day

Look at this pleb taking breaks.
>>
it's very situational, i even abandon the flick/movie/film/cinema/kino categorizations after doing a 1.0 first watch and then try to pinpoint the speed on subsequent rewatches (usually but not always on an act by act or even scene by scene basis) for the maximum experience.

obviously flicks will generally be faster and true experiences will be a tad slower, but not to the extremes i see in here.. once you drop below .8 or go above 1.33 you usually start to get diminishing returns.

i tried doing 2001 in .66 the other day and nearly died of natural causes, do not recommend. unpopular opinion but that movie is already basically in .8, just 1 that shit and go with it.

these are some of my favorite threads

All memeing aside, if it's a tv show or a movie I'm not too invested in I'll kick it up to 1.25x as you don't notice much of a difference

Sometimes I'll put a movie on for some background noise while I do chores or cook etc. Recently did this with Tomorrowland. Still interested in what I'm watching, perhaps I worded that post wrong.
