I watched the original version for the first time like a month ago on some premium channel.
It was fucking amazing. The random outbursts of music, the location, the characters, the constant Christian/Pagan clashes, everything.
How they managed to fuck the Nic Cage version up as much as they did is beyond me. The village didn't look like a bunch of fucking 1800s peasant settlers in the original.
Any movies similar to The Wicker Man? I've heard of The Blood on Satan's Claws and the Witch Hunter, but is that it?

Hunt down The Making Of the Wicker Man. It was a bitch to fund and they barely made their money back. Britt Eckland was pregnant so a body double was used. Also the dancing girls around the bonfire wore body stockings.
