The problem with Spider-Man is that he's always kept at the same age despite real world events and years passing by.
We need a more media with older, more mature Spider-Man. It's great that we can stick to the roots of Spider-Man being a teenager, but he's been a teenager for nearly five decades now. Let the negro Spider-Man have his time in the lime light as the new young, hip, hopping, and beatboxing teenage superhero yet at the same time keeping an older Peter Parker around for the old school fans who grew up with him to see him finally grow up and move on in his life.
It's the natural evolution of characters. If they were going to bring in a new young Spider-Man, use the negro Spider-Man! Keep Tobey's legacy as the character. For nearly a decade now, he's been the guy we saw as the true Peter Parker. Andrew Garfield, while he's not bad, he just doesn't hold the same emotional weight as Tobey as an actor.
