Thoughts?
While both great, they diminish in quality a tad near the end of their seasons.
Overall they're still both fairly remarkable shows.
Excited for Daredevil Season Two -- I'm going to miss Murdock's first suit.
I've posted this same opinion here ten thousand times, but Jessica Jones really is an 8 episode story told in 13 episodes. It actually pissed me off how characters that should have been relegated to secondary roles needed to have their own emotional beats in the later episodes.
And we never got to see Purple Man actually turn purple. That would have been SO FUCKING GREAT for him to have his last hurrah as a hideous freak. Weak ass creative decision.

Jessica Jones pilot turned me off of the rest of the show. Kristen Ratter is an awful actress. She tried way too hard to come across as a hardass.
Daredevil had its moments, but had so much filler. It would be better if it was trimmed down. They need to fix up the dialogue as well. "This city" is used far too often.

It's not like Jessica Jones the comic is even that cheeseball, but they still felt the need to change the guy's name from Killgrave to Kilgrave, even though they made it so that it was a fake name, and his real name was Kevin, so it didn't matter, and they had the characters make fun of it for being edgy every once in a while too. I have to wonder, if you're going to undercut the silliness by making the comic book name an assumed name, but also downplay the silliness, why do you then also have to highlight the silliness externally too? I've seen shows and movies be embarrassed about the source material before, but that takes the cake. That's not even getting into all the "Jewel" stuff either.
JESSICA JONES IS THE DUMBEST FUCKING SHOW EVER.

The only character that had a sliver of promise and had the good judgement to kill Killgrave before he inflicts any more damage on the world (Simpson) is now some weird secret agent on drugs psycho who just killed an innocent cop. What the fuck.

Basically, they spend a couple of episodes building up towards something and taking action, and then every action they take is immediately negated or rendered useless when they inevitably fail their goal because every character participating is fucking stupid. Even when they ACTUALLY succeed, they fail. This is the only show I've seen that's been able to pull off this fucking amazing feat.

Daredevil was great. Good director who knew what he was doing, made a good coherent story line that flowed well. Great fight scenes showing the strength and smarts of Murdoch. Nice little flashback scenes.
Meanwhile some feminazi director completely butchers a shitty comic to begin with, story line is all over the place, shit hero who just let's kill grave kill everyone. Completely nerfed a dude who can fight people like Thor. Turned him into a cuck nigger. DUDE SEX SCENES EVERY 10 minutes lmao.

Tennant is awful and is one of the worst parts of an already shit show.

No one can try to tell me that show had a well thought out plot. It was slapdash, and set up in a way to provide lots of cool and menacing ways of showing off Kilgrave's abilities, and to extend the simple conflict to 13 episodes, but not to actually make sense if analyzed.

They were told by Kilgrave to "realize it was just a hilarious joke" I didn't miss it at all, it's just an idiotic cover. His powers have a limited time of working. When they wore off, why would "a joke" still be rational justification for someone coming in and telling you to point your gun at other people and freeze, and you do it, tampering with evidence, and telling the police that someone who came in with a severed head can simply be released, resulting in them actually being released? It doesn't take a genius to figure out something is wrong there. And Clemons reaction seems to verify this, as he seems shaken by it later, but acts like "What can I do?" The whole plot revolves around the idea that Jessica needs to handle Kilgrave, and yet, she's maybe the worst possible person for the job, and bringing in any big guns could remove the need for this plot.
Love Daredevil.
Jessica Jones was meh, they didn't really explore her powers or Luke's powers. David Tennant was by far and away the best part of the show.
