Season 5 had some great scenes, mainly the one in Hardhome and the gladiator scene with Jorah (aside from the horrible CGI when Dany rides the dragon).

Stannis' character assassination was pretty lame too, and I guess related to that, Ramsay's implausible plot armor with all that "20 good men" nonsense. It also just felt to me like the season overall was just sort of plodding and uneventful. I did like Cersei's arc though.

On a lighter note, there seem to be a lot of plot differences between the books and the show. It's very possible that Tywin doesn't even die, as I think he's very popular with the audiences.
And even if he does die... well, it's Game of Thrones, for one, and Tywin's a 'villain' of sorts, so it's only natural for him to die sooner or later.
In the end, it's all about the plot, the details of his death and the events that lead up to it, not the fact of his death itself. I did not spoil the former for you.

I can pretty much guess what a 100% D&D original content season looks like.
Yeah the dragons are gonna be astronomically huge, there will be a massive scale battle in episode 9, and a surprising heartbreaking death in episode 8, 9 or 10.
This isn't a surprise it happens every fucking season.
GoT's problem ( in the past few seasons ) isn't about the events. THe events are great. It's about the rest, the filler, the (lack of) details, the character assassination because D&D only read the wikis for information, and so on.
This is all gonna be much, much worse in S6.
Plebs will still like it because for a lot of them this show is just "everyone dies LEL; the show".
Any episode/season would be good as long as many people die.
