I personally think Michael and Lincoln were the worst characters, and that brought the show down a little for me. That's one of the main reasons I can't finish season 4 is because I hate those guys, and get sick of hearing them talk in batman voices and attempt to act.

Bellick was a great character, because you could go from despising him (usual arrogant asshole behavior) to feeling sympathetic for him (him crying over his mother) sometimes in the same episode
