Absolute Kino tier horror. Should be considered in the top 5 greatest horrors of all time.
I love how the whole film is anxious. It really gets under your skin even when nothing scary is happening. It makes you feel dirty or shameful. A true exploration of the sins of the flesh. Hellraiser is Clive Barkers masterpiece. He knew it too. He didnt have to make anything else after that.
And for the record the first 5 Hellraiser films are all enjoyable to certain degrees. 1 and 2 are true partrician horror. 3 is fun, 4 is dumb fun, and 5 (Inferno) is David Finchers Se7en set in the Hellraiser universe and has one of the scariest scenes in the entire series.
