It's not a great film but it has many new ideas in it and some great action sequences.
Episode 1 is rather inofensive, in the way that it barely related to everything else.

We saw much more of some random sand dunes than the cool as fuck Star Destroyer crash site on Jaku, for instance. I barely remembered anything about it until I rewatched last month and I think it's not only a pretty decent movie but even above episode VI.
