I like the characters but it was always sort of unsettling/surreal (spelling errors whatever).
Like Gilligans Island....it never felt real. I mean fuck, the Korean War only lasted three years but the MASH gang could never make it off of that damned "island".
I guess its a different type of show from a different era but I could never just write it off as a comedy show on a set, like Taxi, because they kept adding all of these heavy drama elements like >>66630649 said.
The show creeps me out...but to answer your question OP MASH is good. Watch at least some of it. Pierce and Hunnicut were GOAT bros and Radar was George Costanza before there was a Costanza.

The only complaint is that it shifts tone a lot, but that's part of the charm and fits the theme of jokey surgeons going through a brutal war.
it's fantastic. I have good feels of sometimes waking up too early before school as a teenager and watching it at 4 in the morning on TV Land.
